We had 20 anglers participate representing four different Muskies, Inc. chapters (Chicagoland Musky Hunters, Hoosier Musky Hunters, Michigan Musky Alliance, and Webster Lake Musky Club). Many boats found themselves breaking ice to get the day started but it eventually warmed to a balmy 38 overcast degrees. Despite the mighty effort of many, only one qualified fish was caught. Will Carpenter from Michigan Musky Alliance caught a 39” musky on Kuhn Lake. Coincidentally he used our sponsor’s Sidewinder lure in catching the fish. So Will took home the first place prize and Michigan Musky Alliance got to walk away with the traveling trophy. It was good times of fishing, fellowship, and a bit of frustration trying to catch the elusive musky. Wouldn’t have it any other way.
